Described by the Swiss press as « the most talented guitarist of his generation to come out of the region»  and by the LA press as an "amazing 'world Jazz' guitarist and a truly gifted composer", Antoine Salem has performed, written and recorded music professionally since the early 90's. He has toured internationally and worked in collaboration with artists across the globe including George Clinton, Praz -of the Fugees, Brenna Whitaker, Tita Lima, Bob Moses, Miguel Atwood Ferguson, Robby Marshall, Clare Muldaur and also with Lionel Loueke -of Herbie Hancock, Doug Gibbs -of Earth Wind & Fire, Andre Fisher -of Rufus, Cora Coleman -of Prince/Byoncé, with Amerie, Ben Westbeech, DJ Sneak and many more.

As a composer and tunesmith, his music and songs have been featured on several independent films and numerous TV shows such as ABC's Brothers And Sisters and many more. Aside from developing his music library and a few personal side projects, he currently writes for and performs/tours (in the US and EU) with Shoestring Trio, with Hale May and with Les Nouveaux Variants.

Antoine also openly collaborates with many other artists, musicians, singer-songwriters, dancers, yogis, film makers and photographers. On the music education side of things, he teaches guitar, arranging and producing independently and he has been a faculty member at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood for the Independent Artist Program for 5 years.

After growing up in Switzerland where he studied music, he started to record/tour EU with his own projects at an early age (opening for such greats as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ben Harper, Roy Ayers, BB King, Tower of Power and many more). He was then offered a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied for three years and met musicians from all around the world. After graduation he moved to Los Angeles where he continued to write, perform and produce music. When he is not touring the world, Antoine spends most of his time between Arles, Lausanne, Paris and Los Angeles.
